What is Sea Glass Jewellery?
Sea glass is nature's hidden treasure, transforming discarded glass into stunning gems through decades of oceanic transformation. Fragments of glass are tumbled, smoothed, and frosted by the constant motion of waves, rocky shorelines, and powerful marine currents, gradually wearing down sharp edges into soft, gem-like treasures. Part of the magic of sea glass lies in its extraordinary transformation, where ordinary discarded glass becomes a natural gem through an incredibly slow, patient process. It can take decades, even as long as 100 years, to evolve a piece of everyday glassware into a beautiful, gem-like piece.
Hi, my name is Angela and I am a Sydney born and raised metalsmith jeweller. I'm also an ocean lover and passionate Sea Glass collector, specialising in crafting unique Sea Glass jewellery that captures the energy of the Pacific Ocean. When you wear one of my Sea Glass jewellery pieces, you're not just wearing an accessory. You're wearing a piece of Australian coastal history, a fragment of mystery, and a story waiting to be told.
The majority of my sea glass collection is exclusively hand-gathered by me collected from the Sydney Northern Beaches, the Sydney Sutherland Shire Beaches and my memorable expedition down to Hobart, Tasmania where I collected some very rare lavender and cobalt blue specimens that make my personal collection of Sea Glass truly exceptional.
Additionally I've also had many customers donate me Sea Glass they have found upon their beach combing expeditions in Australia and abroad such as Bali, Vanuatu and Hawaii. To me it's very important to always keep this Sea Glass stored in seperate jars marked by location so my customers and I know the exact original source which I mention in my product listings. Some customers opt to send me a single piece of their own personally found beautiful Sea Glass, entrusting me to transform their ocean treasure into a bespoke piece of jewellery that holds deep personal meaning.
These personal contributions add depth and connection to my collection, creating a community of united ocean lovers and their love for these oceanic treasures.
